What keeps us in motion—or stops us in our tracks? In this dynamic kit, students explore Newton’s three laws of motion through hands-on challenges that test force, mass, and inertia. Using ramps, carts, rubber bands, and other familiar materials, learners investigate real-life applications of balanced and unbalanced forces, acceleration, and reaction.
Designed for 24 students working in pairs, the activities are scaffolded with guiding questions, printed instructions, and engaging video walkthroughs to support independent learning or group facilitation.
Time Commitment:
Two 45-minute class periods or one 1.5-hour session
Suggested Grades:
Grades 4–7
TEKS Alignment:
-
